Become a Friend of Neuk Collective
Become a Friend of Neuk Collective by setting up a regular donation and help us create inclusive, supportive spaces for neurodivergent artists.
A regular donation supports our neurodivergent-led work to reduce barriers, build community, and create meaningful opportunities for neurodivergent and disabled artists across Scotland.
Who we are
Neuk Collective is a community of neurodivergent artists. We create spaces where people can connect, develop their practice, build confidence, and feel a sense of belonging in the arts sector.
We began in 2020 as a platform responding to the barriers neurodivergent artists face. Through research into lived experience, we developed the Neuk Manifesto [Link to Manifesto] – a call for systemic change in how the arts sector works.
Our work is managed and supported by Door in the Wall Arts Access CIC, which handles administration and finances so that our members can focus on their creative practice.

What we do
We regularly organise:
- Artist meet-ups and peer support spaces
- Exhibitions and creative projects
- Workshops and skills-sharing sessions
- Paid opportunities for neurodivergent artists
- Events that foster confidence, connection, and agency
Our work is rooted in lived experience and shaped by our members. We focus on creating access that is practical, respectful, and led by neurodivergent people themselves.

Our Mission
Our mission is twofold
- Empowerment: To empower neurodivergent creatives by providing the tools, opportunities, and supportive environment they need to pursue fulfilling arts careers that not only align with their unique talents and interests but also enhance their wellbeing.
- Accessibility and Inclusivity: To champion and set new standards for accessibility and inclusivity within the creative sector, ensuring that arts spaces and opportunities are genuinely open and welcoming to all. Building on the knowledge, expertise, skills and lived experience of our Board, members, and collaborators, we are developing projects that will support existing participants, develop new models where suitable ones don’t exist and reach new neurodivergent artists and audiences.
“Being part of the collective has made a huge difference to me, helping me to move forward both professionally and personally, embracing my ND and allowing me to feel more confident as an artist. I have also connected with another member who lives nearby. All this support has allowed me to feel optimistic and excited about the future.”
The Impact of Your Donation:
Your regular donation helps sustain our work and ensures that our activities remain accessible and fairly paid.
£5 a month helps provide materials for artists meet-ups and creative sessions, ensuring everyone can take part.
£10 a month helps fund paid opportunities for neurodivergent artists to leave and facilitate creative sessions for our community, building confidence and belonging.
You can also choose another monthly amount and give what you can. Every donation makes a difference.
If you’d like to set up a direct debit or standing order for an annual donation, please contact hello@doorinthewall.co.uk.

Leave us a gift in your will:
You can support future generations of neurodivergent artists by leaving a gift in your will.
A gift in your will helps us continue creating accessible, welcoming spaces where neurodivergent adults can connect, develop confidence, and take part in the arts on their own terms.
Leaving a gift could help fund someone’s first accessible arts experience or provide connection and belonging in a supportive community.
We know that the arts are an incredible space to boost wellbeing and support skills and confidence building and we want to provide opportunities for as many artists as possible.
If you’re considering leaving a gift to Neuk Collective, thank you. We deeply appreciate your support and the difference it will make.
All legacy and in-memory donations are managed by Door in the Wall Arts Access CIC, which supports Neuk Collective’s work. If you would like your gift to support a specific area of our work, we can provide guidance to ensure it is used in the way you intend.
