Jo Matthews

I am an artist, producer/project manager, artist support worker and radio show host based in Scotland, working with performance, sound, video, installation, and analogue photography. Collaboration, entanglement, and environmental awareness shape my approach, and I am driven by questions of how humans and non-humans live alongside one another during ecological crisis. Much of my practice focuses on creating closeness and intimacy. I am drawn to use humour, eeriness, and the uncanny as ways to hold difficult feelings such as grief and uncertainty.
