A picture of a drag artist on stage. They are on their knees wearing pants and a bra and have their mouth open as if singing. The stage lighting is red.

In my practice, I seek to physicalize my inner world. In my drag, I like to create characters around songs I am listening to, or to translate an abstract idea into something wonderful and tangible, whilst playing and experimenting with gender – essentially making a spectacle of myself. This year, I began co-running a themed show called ‘What If’ with my parrner, Narcisse Empoté-Ose.

I also enjoy making music, usually from small phrases sung and overlayed over each other, with added echo and reverb to create the feeling of yearning. Besides that, I make poetry collages from found words, zines, and I am also writing a musical. I am looking to experiment with paint and textiles.
