Four 7.5cm thick slices of naturally textured and waxed hardwood timber set within a painted frame and base, like layers of rock within a proscenium arch. There is also a separate wood block on which is a metal plate with etched words.

My work explores the interaction of images and text and is concerned with recording and creating narratives. The materials I use, such as wood, metal, collage are important to me as found objects that incorporate memories of their previous use. Fragments of spoken words are also materials that can be incorporated into a work.

My practice includes drawing, sculpture and performance, including recent collaborations with sound artists and musicians, and has roots in neurodivergency.
