The image shows a table covered in a floral table cloth with art materials, books and leaves strewn across it. On top, there are a pair of adult's hands and a pair of children's hands decorating a large pressed leaf to look like a fox.

Claudia Cawthorne

Hi! I’m Claudia. I’m an arts facilitator and community events producer based in Fife, working across Scotland. I primarily work with young people and community groups, co-creating engaging projects and facilitating arts activities, culminating in event-based work, exhibitions and performances.

With a background in Anthropology and Visual Culture, and community-centred activity at the heart of what I do, I am endlessly inspired by and interested in people. I am compelled by stories, whether that’s traditional storytelling, folktales and lore, or simply overhearing snippets of stories on the street, and this is a powerful tool for my work.

I am currently interested in researching and developing immersive site-responsive, environmental and installation experiences, using storytelling to help strengthen and build community bonds. I want to continue to work with young people and community groups to create strange and special experiences that immerse audiences in stories from near and far.

I am always up for a chat – if you’re a fellow creative, or if you’re interested in my work, I’d love it if you want to say hi.
