Himadri Madan

I am a performer, choreographer and dance teacher with training in Bharatnatyam and Kathak.

My choreographic practice is situated in creating socially and politically relevant work through the vocabulary of Indian classical dance, in turn exploring contemporary ways to understand and enjoy this traditional art form and making a space for North Indian classical dance in Scotland. I am keen to explore ways of co-creating and bringing multiple disciplines together in my choreographies while creating dialogues around themes of here and now that impact all of us.
