Johanna Koen
Johanna is a multidisciplinary artist and wildcrafter based in Edinburgh. She has a background in horticulture, mycology and botanical illustration.
Her practice is rooted in seasonal cycles and explores witchcraft, fungal decomposition, queer(ing) ecology and re-connecting to herbal & mycological folk knowledge. Recent works reimagine radical folk practices, informed by traditional craft and ritual. As a community gardener, much of their work is inspired by people and plants-translating to explorations around reciprocal care in urban garden ecologies.
