Lesley Crawford

I am a musician, creative music facilitator and inclusive music technologist.

As a musician I love deep exploration of sound, micro-interactions, the movement of phase and discomfort of dissonance. I write and perform with the instrumental band Idiogram whose debut album (Reunion of Broken Parts, 2025) was described by The Skinny as “exceptional, effortless and exhilarating”. Live our set up augments traditional instrumentation with liberal and creative use of technology while the music is supported by live performed visuals from our long-term collaborator. Our shows have been described as an ‘immersive multi-sensory experience’ and we always aim to push the boundaries or our writing and performing.

My facilitation work takes me across charities, community groups and local authorities bringing creative music making to children and adults with disabilities, and teenagers who need extra support. I’m passionate about providing inclusive and individual supports, including the development of bespoke systems or adaptations, which allow people to engage with music in a way that is meaningful to them. I believe in doing things in collaboration with people and using my skills to elevate their voices, giving them the opportunity to be heard and to find joy and freedom in musical expression.
