An abstract terracotta object standing on the chest of a dancer in a blue jumpsuit who is back bending whilst reaching her crossed arms towards the object that is resting on her chest

I’m a designer, independent researcher and ceramicist based in Edinburgh.

Currently, I have a two-fold practice one that is focused on making functional pottery and the other is more research-based exploration of the themes that I’m interested in. Whilst functional pottery focuses on making everyday ware my research-based practice concerns movement-based encounters with objects and how these encounters might call forth a speculative emergence. I’m interested in speculation as a mode of refusal and resistance.

Thus, my practice, in general is focused on exploring bodily movements, social movements, practices of care, and emergent speculative practices that imagine inclusive and liveable futures. I value interconnectedness and art practice as relationship and community-building.
