Thie photo depicts me on stage wearing a black PVC bodysuit, black trainers and socks and a white facemask around my left wrist, reading a poem from my poetry book to an audience from the stage. The event is the Curtain Collective held at the Corset Club in Glasgow.

Richard Coffey

I’m a queer and autistic multidisciplinary artist living in Edinburgh, sharing my lived experiences through poetry, artworks and music making/spoken-words.

I have performed music and poetry highlighting my autistic lived experiences and  intersections since March 2025 at Chloe’s Magic Mic, Loud Poets and Rock The Boat open mic nights in Edinburgh and also Curtain Collective in Glasgow.

My artworks have been created at the Open Studio at Whale Arts in Wester Hailes and also at home since June 2025, using felt tipped pens to create a rather striking, textured signature look. I’m hoping to get my works exhibited for the first time in the near future.

My music/spoken words output since April 2021 has often been described at cyberpunk, dystopian, electronic and cinematic: I have released several EPs and singles which you can find on Bandcamp and other music platforms.
