Sarah Barnard
I’m an autistic visual artist based in Edinburgh, all of my work is related to polar exploration and environments. I was a resident artist on the Arctic Circle residency in 2022 and Shackleton Autumn School in 2023. Most recently I’ve become especially interested in polar environments as a low stimulus, sensory experience as an autistic person.
I work in watercolour, airbrush, inks, as well as pencil portraiture and most recently, cyanotypes.
