Saraphir Camille
I am a poet, singer-songwriter and writer based in Edinburgh. I am Danish by birth, but have adopted Scotland as my home and English as my language. I have stammered since I was a child and this has probably fueled my interest in speech, singing and all things to do with words and language.
I am known for protest songs and wordplay, as well as looking at different themes from different angles to find new depths. My poems range from a quick humorous haiku on the bus to page-long explorations on pain, lost cables, creativity or chauvinism. I am also a performance artist/movement teacher, crochet designer, and keen gardener, and feel best about life when I am creating something.
