I use papers and acrylic paint to produce collages and am inspired by graffiti, weathered posters, symbols and ascemic writing. A confirmation of Neurodivergence late-ish in life has led to a gradual awareness of the traits which have played into my creative endeavours for many years. The pleasure taken in juxtaposing textures, colours, marks and paint has often been followed by overwhelm due to the endless arrangement possibilities. I’m gradually relearning how to prepare materials, arrange the physical space, slow down and simplify my process in order be more able to focus. I can continue to explore themes of natural change, transformation and freed up energy.
