A female body sits in a white studio on a mound of seaweed and latex. She is bent forward, one arm wrapped around her stomach, the other reaching around her back. Her hair falls forward in front of her face and down to her knees. Above her hang sheets of latex, some embedded with seaweed, the light shines through them making them glow with a rich amber hue.

Sophie received a BA in Sculpture & Environmental Art at GSA before moving to Orkney to receive her Honours from UHI.

She is especially interested in materials that degrade over time, performances witnessed by the landscape and making art that reflects her journey of life in a chronically ill body.
