Pictured is a piece of square clayboard, painted in different shades of peach and pink. There are scratches across all the work, with text written in pencil. Some of the paint slightly covers the text. In the top right corner is a robot-looking spider, drawn in dark graphite. The text reads "I can't describe what it felt like it was excruciating yet I felt numb My heart screamed in pain yet there was complete silence I can't quite put it into words but I know this I died, and yet I live"

Wildeye Art – Caitlin Hanna

Wildeye Art, also known as Caitlin Hanna, is a queer, neurodivergent, and disabled contemporary artist. Their artwork tends to be confessional, relying on their feelings and past experiences to fuel their creative practice. They consider language an artistic medium in addition to imagery, so text is frequently included to further the narrative within their work. They don’t use a single, consistent medium because of their emotive subject; instead, they use what media best conveys the message or emotion they are attempting to communicate, focusing more on the content and feeling than the medium itself. Caitlin is known for working with ceramics, painting, textiles, printmaking, and more, which often results in a mixed media piece. They aim to bring a sense of community from viewing their work, honouring all stages of life, not just positive.
