Dark corridor, bricked up at the end and the walls also brick and crumbling plaster. It is dramatically lit from the right, revealing tangled branches protruding through the brickwork.

William Niven

A photographer whose practice involves shooting the environment specifically the natural landscape of Dumfries and Galloway. I look at how light can change the appearance of the natural landscape and the role it plays within photography. Currently I am exploring and experimenting with how the photograph works as a sensory medium, and push the boundaries of the singular image as an effective mode of representation and connection between nature and the human body. Photography is a medium in which I express my Autism, ADHD and CVI which allows me to share how I see and interact with the world and think creatively.
